The top text says “Let’s Leave No Words Unspoken” It’s lyrics taken from A Day To Remember’s song “All I Want” but there is more to it than just a line of lyrics from one of my favorite bands. That one line is a saying i’ve lived by since i was 13 years old, luckily for me it could also be encompassed in a song i enjoy by a band i love.

To me, that line means you should always have a voice, never be silent when something wrong is going on around you that could be prevented if you just speak up, or perhaps if something you do not agree with. Your opinion should always be known, you should always say what needs to be said, even if it may upset or hurt someone, because i believe being honest is always going to be better in the long run. I believe if you want to tell someone how you feel, you should take a chance and tell them, because you may never get another chance, the saying has always motivated me to take chances in the past & it continues to do so in the present.

The design below is a combination of Icarus Wings & a crumbling stone Triforce taken from the original design on the Hylian shield. I’ve always been fascinated by the story of Icarus & i apply the moral of the story to life; you should always have something to fall back on when taking a massive risk that could backfire badly, otherwise you may end up with nothing. The triforce i got because to me Zelda was a game series that took up most of my childhood, it inspired me to write some of the best stories i’ve ever came up with, it was a world i could throw myself into for some time when everything around me was too stressful, it will forever remain one of my all time favorite game series’. Within the Triforce there are three separate kanji symbols, one for each piece of the Triforce, and three attributes i believe a person would greatly benefit having, certainly things i hope i have:

Power: The power to push through life’s obstacles and hardships, to smile and try your best to make things work.

Wisdom: The ability to learn from past mistakes, constantly learn new abilities and broaden your horizons.

Courage: The courage to do something daring in your life, to help someone out even if it causes you physical damage and the courage to go against the grain if it means being who you are.

Apologies for the ramble, figured i’d give a proper justification to how much the tattoo means to me. It took a full days session & it’s currently unfinished, it has around 3 more full day sessions to go before it’s going to be complete, but i am already so pleased & proud to have this on my body.
